Morning read.
As my thinking moves on to the coming season and the knowledge that with my youngest daughter’s return to school next Tuesday I will soon have more time to myself. By the time we reach the middle of September our home will be emptying of young people, first will go 18 to experience university for the first time, soon followed by 20, returning for his final year.

We will almost be back to where we began, less to do around the house and more time to do it.

There will also be more time for me to focus on some of the things that bring me joy, chief of which, outside my family, is photography. I have become aware lately of how I have often allowed my camera to sit in its bag, safe and secure and not immediately accessible whilst my phone is always with me. This has translated into my phone becoming my everyday camera while the real one remains largely unused. I have found the convenience of not needing to upload to my laptop and simple online sharing to shape my actions.

Now I am changing that.

The camera is out and at my side, the battery charged. I have made a deal with myself that I will use it as the first option and I am going to work on not feeling self-conscious about taking photographs in public. No one is that interested, and that’s a good thing.

I am sharing this image of the morning light on my book from  few days ago with Bella Cirovic’s 52 Photos Project, Gallery 19 {On The Line}. Why not pop over to her site, see the other wonderful submissions and share yours too. You will be made very welcome.

Happy Friday everyone, I hope your day goes smoothly and you have a great weekend.
